Jolyon graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class Master’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering before joining Arup’s design team in London for eight years. Jolyon was involved in a range of industrial and commercial projects including new builds, renovations, and structural surveys both overseas and in the UK.

A year of site experience on both the £124 million M2 widening project, as well as the A256 live roundabout and access road project, contributed to his passing the Chartered Professional Review with the Institution of Civil Engineers.  Jolyon also spent two years on the multi-disciplinary design for Heathrow Terminal 5, located on site with all major consultants and contractors in collocated teams.

A further 17 years of working in regional civil and structural engineering consultancies has given Jolyon a broad experience in educational, residential, leisure and commercial projects. These range from domestic extensions to multi-storey concrete frame, multi-block residential developments, as well as major data centre and school developments across the South of England.

Jolyon joined Hawkins in 2022 as Senior Associate based in our Reigate Office.
