Hawkins is delighted to welcome Forensic Architect Margaret Wright to our London office.
Margaret qualified as an Architect in November 1995 and has worked for several AJ100 architecture practices. In 1997, she joined EPR Architects becoming company director in 2005. She then joined Tindall Riley & Co as one of the team managing the Wren Insurance Association. Margaret was responsible for giving both general risk management and detailed project-specific liability advice to Wren members before being appointed as Director of Risk Management.
Margaret has first-hand experience of both traditional and, design and build procurement with novation, and has worked on a range of projects including hotels, offices, residential, shopping centres and schools.
Margaret has also authored guidance on topics including:
- Information management and cloud-based information platforms
- Contract administration
- Sub-consulting and outsourcing
- Design responsibilities in respect of projects adopting volumetric construction
- BIM documentation
- Post-occupancy evaluations
- The reuse of materials
She also advised on the potential implications of the Building (Appointment of Persons, Industry Competence and Duty Holders) Regulations and PAS 8671.
As a member of the RIBA Professional Services Contract (PSC) Editorial Group, Margaret has detailed knowledge of the RIBA PSCs and architects’ services.
