Jack is an Electrical Engineer who started his career in 2010 by completing a JIB approved apprenticeship in Electrotechnical Technology and Installation. He qualified as an electrician working within industrial installations and completed an FdSc in Engineering with the University of Plymouth. Since qualifying, he has gone on to work in a variety of sectors within Project Engineering and Electrical Design Engineering roles, delivering projects and innovative designs across the UK and internationally.
His experience includes; electrical installations within commercial and industrial environments, water treatment and distribution, electrical installations within explosive atmospheres and ATEX regulations, physical security and anti-terror hostile vehicle mitigation systems, electrical systems for superyachts to class and flag requirements, automation of process plant including instrumented safety systems, and refrigerant gas processing and recycling.
Jack joined Hawkins in 2024 and is a Senior Associate based in our Bristol office having previously gained three years of experience as a Forensic Investigator investigating fires and engineering losses in domestic, commercial, marine, and plant and machinery environments. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and is working towards Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council. Jack is currently studying an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering with the University of Aberdeen.
