We are delighted to welcome Civil & Structural Engineer, Jane Cook, to our Singapore office.

Jane started her career as a Junior Engineer in Canada inspecting local government buildings and churches. After graduating from McGill University in Montreal with a civil engineering degree, she travelled to the UK to complete her MSc in Conservation of Historic Buildings.

Jane brings over 12 years of experience as a consultant design engineer working on adaptive reuse projects. Through her design consulting work in the UK, Jane worked on the Abney Park Restoration project and was involved in this multi-phase project for several years, specifying and supervising the long-term monitoring of the chapel, as well as soil investigations and material testing for the restoration. Jane also assessed the capacity and condition of other existing buildings on the site, designed their strengthening works and designed new structures.

Jane has also worked on the design of a steel-framed education centre on a brownfield site, a piled reinforced concrete subterranean plant room, stone cantilevered stairs for historic houses, new steel framed lift shafts, and a 3000m² gallery and sculpture studio for a private client.

Hawkins welcomes Jane and her wealth of civil engineering expertise. If you have any questions for Jane or our team of, please contact us.
