Albert graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with honors in Mechanical Engineering, and holds a master’s degree in Building Services Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. Since then, he has amassed over 12 years of experience, working in various roles including Project Manager and Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Designer in the Electrical and Mechanical industry. Albert has worked for several global companies, such as Atkins, WSP, NTT, Arup, and Turner & Townsend.

After completing his degree, Albert began his career as a contractor in mechanical engineering for a railway project in Hong Kong (MTR-South Island Line). He then transitioned to the consultancy field, working as a Mechanical Design Engineer on international railway projects such as the Doha Metro Gold Line in Qatar. He has also contributed to building projects in Hong Kong and Macau, designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and other mechanical systems. In addition to his railway experience, Albert has several years of design experience in data centres, the banking industry, and government buildings through his consultancy work.

Leveraging his extensive MEP design experience, Albert progressed from design to project management to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire construction cycle. As a Project Manager, he has utilised his MEP expertise, management skills, communication and coordination skills to oversee various types of buildings, including data centres, stadiums, and buildings for global commercial banking across the Asia Pacific region.

Albert is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), a member of the Institution of Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE), a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (MASHRAE), and a NEC4 Accredited Project Manager (NECReg). Moreover, he is also a Professional Review Interviewer and CPD Accessor for the IMechE.

Albert joined Hawkins in November 2024 as an Associate based in our Hong Kong office.
