Eng Phin is a structural engineer with a wide range of experience in design and construction of bridge and building structures. Through his 10 years of practice in structural engineering, he has led and delivered works for various stages of projects from inception to completion, giving him a holistic understanding of project delivery.
He began his career as a Design Engineer in Indonesia, contributing to national-level bridge projects such as Semanggi Interchange Upgrade Project and Kualanamu Light Rail Transit. During this time, he gained experience in designing both temporary and permanent structures, post-tensioning, temporary works, and modern bridge construction methods.
After earning his master’s degree, Eng expanded his capability as a structural engineer. He contributed in designing building structures, such as IKEA Bandung, Indonesia and 88 Walker Street in Sydney. He also developed his skills in digital and computational engineering for structural designs.
Eng’s career further expanded during his time in Hong Kong, where he took on leading roles for numerous structural design works in Hong Kong and Overseas. Eng expanded his knowledge with local and international bridge and building design standards. As a Senior Engineer, he has collaborated closely with a variety of stakeholders, including architects, contractors, developers, and approval authorities, gaining a multifaceted perspective on structural projects from start to finish. During his time in Hong Kong, he served as the Digital Engineering Coordinator for a Hong Kong office to promote and implement digitalisation in design works.
