Killian is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a broad range of experience in civil and structural projects. He graduated from University College Dublin in 2012 with a Masters in Civil Engineering after completing his masters thesis in École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland as part of an Erasmus exchange programme. He joined Arup as a structural engineer where he worked on civil and structural projects as a structural engineer, resident engineer and project manager.

Killian gained extensive experience in Arup working on projects in the aviation, beverages and manufacturing industries. He also has expertise with deep refurbishment of existing buildings in the education sector as well as with historic and listed buildings.

During his time working as a structural engineer he completed a Masters in Advanced Concrete Technology from the University of Leeds and became an Accredited Contract Manager with the ICE following successful completion of a Certificate in Law and Contract Management. Killian joined Hawkins in 2024 as an Associate in our Belfast office to help grow our civil and structural offering.
