Materials Expert, Dr Eleanor Jay, shared her expertise on escapes of water as she hosted a workshop at the recent Construction Risk Management Europe event.
Eleanor’s workshop, Water Risks – Beyond the Unusual, explored escapes and ingresses of water from a variety of sources, including supply pipework, drainage pipework and basements. The workshop was an interactive session which included a discussion on real-life case studies and videos. Eleanor explained how installations can ‘go wrong’ and the things you might hear (rightly or wrongly) when assessing damages in relation to such events.
