It was a pleasure to welcome People Development Director Luke Brannigan of Crawfords, together with his cohort of graduates from the insurance market to our London office recently.

Alongside Business Development Manager Graeme Drysdale, our London team provided an introduction to Hawkins followed by practical exercises in our laboratory. Guests were invited to participate in a plumbing exercise with Regional Manager, Gareth Dobinson, while Dr Hugh Martindale explained witness marks in smoke damage and demonstrated how our investigators inspect electrical fuses to help determine the origin of a fire. Adrian Ratte concluded the sessions with a demonstration of our Hirox RX 100 microscope, which is known for its advanced capabilities, offering up to 5000 times magnification, and the ability to view and scan samples in 3D.

Our Forensic Fun Days aim to provide insight into how our investigators approach an investigation to establish the root cause of an incident. Gareth, Hugh and Adrian have over 40 years of combined experience in forensic investigations and regularly investigate a range of incidents including escapes of water, mechanical engineering failures and fire investigations.

If you would like to learn more about Hawkins or have one of our experts present to your organisation, please get in touch.
