Hawkins would like to extend a warm welcome to Building Services Engineer David Edwards, who joins as an Associate in our Reigate office.
David has worked on many installation projects including fast-track office fit outs, major refurbishments, new builds and high-end residential properties.
David began his career as a professional trainee at MITIE Engineering in London before moving his focus to energy projects, investigating demand-side energy reduction, renewable installation, and decarbonisation projects, including working with BMS and system optimisations for mechanical and electrical systems.
Following this, David began working with an information specialist, delivering projects including major scientific, medical and research laboratories. David then joined a medical device start up in 2019 supporting the installation of proton therapy systems where he was responsible for certification, verification, and validation. This included working on the delivery of the installations, assisting customers with the design of their facilities, and systems to support the treatment system.
David brings extensive knowledge across all aspects of building services, complementing our existing Built Environment team.
