Hawkins would like to welcome Dr Amir Hajdaei who has recently joined as an Associate in our Cambridge office.
Amir completed a Master’s degree focusing on nano materials, before joining the University of Manchester as a research assistant, where he studied the effect that nano particles have in improving fracture toughness of fibre reinforced composites.
Continuing his research, Amir focused on extending the fatigue performance of wind turbine blades by localised fracture toughness enhancement methods.
Amir then joined Element Materials Technology as a Composite Engineer where he specialised in time dependent properties, including fatigue and creep/stress rupture, and successfully delivered several composite qualification projects in the energy and aerospace sector.
Amir brings extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of materials including metals and ceramics, and an in-depth knowledge of fibre-reinforced composites and polymers.
We are delighted to welcome Amir to the Hawkins team.
