We are pleased to welcome Mechanical and Building Services Engineer Sidney Chan to our Hong Kong office.
Sidney brings over 30 years of engineering experience and has worked on a diverse array of projects across China, Hong Kong, and Asia. His expertise includes Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Drainage, and Fire Protection Design, as well as Project Construction Management within various sectors of the Built Environment.
Previously, Sidney worked at a power station in Hong Kong, where his key responsibilities included project management of station improvement projects and plant failure analysis. Here, he honed his skills in identifying and resolving complex engineering issues, ensuring operational efficiency, whilst maintaining stringent safety standards.
In the past, he has held pivotal roles such as Project Director and Project Manager, where, he focused on fostering strong relationships with clients and design teams, ensuring that all stakeholders were aligned and working towards a common goal. This approach has been instrumental in successfully navigating the complexities of large-scale projects and ensuring their timely and cost-effective completion.
Sidney also brings a diverse range of project experience, which encompasses the commercial, research and development, healthcare, pharmaceutical, aviation, and power & energy sectors. He is conversant with legislative requirements, codes, and standards, the intricacies of submission and inspection processes, and is fluent in English and both Mandarin and Cantonese.
