Richard’s article ‘Scaffolding Collapses and Falls’ discusses the different types of scaffold, and safety procedures and regulations during both assembly and use. Richard also provides examples of incidents that he has investigated and how Hawkins can help on such occasions.
Richard has led both domestic and commercial engineering investigations ranging from small claims to large complex losses, including structural damage, water ingress, ground movement and catastrophic collapses. Richard also investigates personal injuries, including construction site and other workplace accidents, including falls from height. Many of these investigations have involved providing advice on roles under the CDM Regulations, appropriate health and safety procedures and industry best practice.
